We’ve seemingly slid through summer, like a fast ride down the slip and slide. Picnics a plenty, we embraced every ounce of warmth the sun could offer, we filled the patio to capacity week to week and we celebrated our second birthday at Green Lake (6 years as Layers - but who is counting?). The season brought with it a bounty of fruits and vegetables; speck wrapped peaches, patty pan squash salads, and cherry almond filled pop-tarts. We debuted Green Goddess Potato Salad, sold nearly 3000 TBRs, and took second in Fra’Mani’s national breakfast sandwich contest with a mortadella fritta and stracciatella sandwich that nearly broke the internet. We said goodbye to a handful of beloved team mates, all who moved across the country, and we even managed to fit in a last minute Mariners game just shy of their ACLS playoffs. All in all, summer 2025 was a banger, and all the better with you there, thank you. As we ease into Fall, and business slows, we recognize this time as a chance to recalibrate and find a new, natural, more cozy rhythm - one that includes a shift in our menu, velvety soups start showing themselves, tomatoes change to apple butter, and hot melty sandwiches like I’d Date a Jalapeno and Reubens & Dragons make a return.
